Strong Government Support

Malaysia and Singapore are strongly committed to driving JS-SEZ, with funding support for promotion and infrastructure. The Invest Malaysia Facilitation Centre – Johor (IMFC-J) will serve as a one-stop center to streamline investment processes and expedite approvals.

Designated Flagship Areas

The JS-SEZ will encompass Iskandar Malaysia and Pengerang, including industrial parks located within the region, especially the designated flagship areas with prioritised sectors.

Strategic Location & Strong Connectivity

Technology-driven improvements will enhance the movement of people and goods through automated immigration lanes and paperless clearance. Existing visas, such as the DE Rantau Nomad Pass, will be upgraded. JS-SEZ will serve as a strategic hub with strong regional and global connectivity, allowing exports through both Singapore and Johor.

Attractive Policies & Incentives

Pro-business policies include special corporate tax rates (5% for up to 15 years) for investments in key sectors, targeted incentives for flagship areas in JS-SEZ, a 15% tax rate for eligible knowledge workers for 10 years, and reduced entertainment duties starting January 1, 2025.
